There should be the ability to setup automatic reminders for every step of the evaluation process. In my old system, you could setup reminders that a due date was upcoming, that the due date had passed, setup reminders to repeat after X number of days, and set reminders to escalate to the manager. It was built in with no need for external admin oversight once you built the review process - Teamflect should have something similar
