Review Automation should Allow Current/Upcoming periods

For organizations like ours, reviews are used to track progress during the current week/month rather than evaluate past weeks or months. Because of this, I would like the automation feature to allow selecting the current week/month as the review period.
When creating a review cycle manually, I can freely choose the review period, including the current or upcoming week. However, when setting up an automated cycle, the review period is limited to past weeks or months, and there is no option to select the current week.
