Mapping Key results to more than one parent objective

I would like to suggest a feature that would be very useful. I have seen it in other OKR tools and believe it would help map key results to more than one parent objective. This feature could be used for the department's key result, which would also feed into the company's objective, eliminating multiple entries.

Hi Zouheyr, thank you for your suggestion. it sounds like a valuable enhancement. To help us better understand your request, could you please provide a bit more detail on how you envision this feature working? For example, how would you like the key results to be linked to multiple objectives, and what specific outcomes or workflows are you hoping to improve? Any additional context or examples would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Myka,
Thanks for asking for more details! Let me clarify what I'm looking for.
We have situations where our department key results are also part of the company's overall objectives. Right now, We have to create and manage these as separate entries, which creates extra work and potential inconsistencies.
Here's what I mean with a specific example:
Let's say I have a department key result: "Reduce customer support response time to under 2 hours"
This same metric is also part of the company's broader objective around customer satisfaction. In other OKR tools I've used, I could create this key result once and align it to both:
• My department's objective (improving operational efficiency)
• The company's objective (enhancing customer experience)
When I update the progress on this key result - let's say we've achieved 1.5 hour response time - that update would automatically feed into both my department's progress AND the company's objective progress. One entry, one update, but it contributes to multiple levels.
Right now, I either have to:
1. Create duplicate key results (one for department, one for company level) and update both separately, or
2. Only track it at one level and lose the connection to the other
The feature I'm suggesting would let department heads like me update our key results once, and have that progress automatically roll up to both our departmental objectives and any company objectives we're contributing to.
Does that make more sense? It's really about eliminating duplicate work while maintaining proper alignment across organizational levels.
Thanks!
